Sickle cell disease is common in the lake region and still widely misunderstood. We take accurate
information into communities, dispel the myths that shame families, and link those affected to
testing, treatment and continuing care

Care for Widows, Widowers and older persons
Widowhood in old age often brings isolation, lost property and lost income. We visit older widows
and widowers in their homes, train the relatives who care for them, and make sure nobody ages out
of sight.

Community Health Outreach
We run health education sessions, screening days and community dialogues that bring reliable information to places where rumour usually fills the gap, and connect people who need treatment to the facilities that provide it.
